Welcome to the Waterfront Rotary Club (Cape Town- District 9350).
Our club was chartered on 12 September 1992 and we pride ourselves on being one of the friendliest Rotary clubs in Cape Town and really enjoy having guests.
Every week several visiting Rotarians join us for breakfast and we also welcome non-Rotarians who would like to learn more about Rotary and the work we do.
We have a vibrant and active club with energy for hard work and fun out in the 'wilds' of Cape Town, in sunny (sometimes) South Africa!
Our club has a 'nautical' theme - the club mascot is Rob the seal (the Inner Wheel club adopted Roberta), and the weekly newsletter is called the "Seal's Bark"...
Our History
We are a daughter club of the Rotary Club of Cape Town and were chartered on 12th September 1992.
We have since chartered the club of Melkbos.
Of the original 33 charter members, 5 remain. They are seen here with Charter President Thomas Graham (second from left, who now lives in Australia).
We currently we have 43 members.
Left to right: Gordon Millar, Charter President Thomas Graham, June Webber, Martin Coleman, David Bradley and Derek Wrankmore.
