Today, Waterfront Rotary celebrated 100 years of the Rotary Foundation by giving 100 Grade 1 learners from Rosewood Primary School, their very own book to take home
The librarian - Mrs Kareemah Cassiem - personally chose the books for each of the learners, making sure everyone got the book most appropriate for them...

CREW MEMBER JENNY HARPUR – WE SALUTE YOU!
A light has gone out at Waterfront Rotary. It is with huge sadness that we advise the sad passing of fellow crew member Jenny Harpur. Jenny was called to higher service on Friday, 15 January 2016 after a long and protracted illness which she bore with great dignity, and above all, courage.
Jenny was Inducted as a crew member of Waterfront on 22 September 2000 and was Captain in 2012/2013. Her exemplary service and commitment to Waterfront will be recorded in our ship’s log book with huge pride. Committed, caring, and compassionate, Jenny made a huge impact in particular through her tireless service over the years to Haven Homes and the Christine Revell Children’s home which were close to her heart.
Her endless stint in the “engine room” (club Service) ensured that our ship always remained on course under her watch.
Jenny will be greatly missed. We salute her. Deepest sympathy to her family.
When I come to the end of the road,
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in gloom-filled rooms,
Why cry for a soul set free?
Rest in Peace Jenny
