Janice Halliford’s Portfolio at the WRC is to look after the “Golden Oldies “ – comprises visiting and facilitating functions for them. “Covid brought much of this to a stop, but fortunately, this year we were able to continue again. One of these is the yearly Schools Jazz Bands concert at the Baxter Theatre that we attended on Saturday, 3 July.  The homes that attended experienced an amazing display of skill and discipline in their performances” writes Janice, as can be seen from the pics below. Each year, Ann Bar the organiser, makes tickets available for the ‘oldies’ – a highlight of their year. Residents from the Monta Rose Home in Gardens, Noah Home in Woodstock, Haven Homes in Woodstock were invited but not all attended because of the weather.
