Inner Wheel 100 Years Celebration on January 10th: David Bradley Highlights 30-Year Collaboration

Crew and guests were in awe listening to the work done by this small group of Inner Wheel members. David’s presentation on the 30 year collaboration between the Rotary Club of Waterfront and Inner Wheel Waterfront, in particular, what had been achieved over the years. The presentation included numerous slides, to condense the 30-plus years of partnership in service and fellowship into a limited time presentation was challenging. David chose to illustrate joint projects as well as highlighting some items that fit better within a female organisation.

David remarked: “Undoubtedly admission of ladies into Rotary siphoned numerous ladies away from membership of Inner Wheel and the high attrition rate of female Rotarians may be in part because the commitments were found to be too onerous.  It is possible that some ladies may have reconsidered their position if they were to have tried Inner Wheel Membership. We are all privileged to belong to century old organisations that have, and continue to morph in many ways to remain truly relevant.”

Thank you David for the enormous amount of time and effort you invested to provide our members with this fascinating history. Long may the collaboration continue!
