SCHOOL MATERIALS FOR SALESIANS

Recently, Brie, who is a 2023 World United Teen, and her father Alan Burke, made a visit to the Rotary Club of Waterfront where they generously contributed school materials to our SIYP Learn to Live School of Skills legacy project. During the visit, we had the pleasure of meeting with the SIYP leadership, including Principal Tony Austin, who expressed their sincere gratitude for the donation.
Brie runs an NGO back home in Florida and is excited about the prospect of collaborating with the Rotary Club of Waterfront and SIYP in Cape Town to tackle the growing issue of mental health among young adults, particularly in her own generation, Gen Z. (Generation Z comprises people born between 1996 and 2010. This generation’s identity has been shaped by the digital age, climate anxiety, a shifting financial landscape, and COVID-19.)

An unexpected, welcome donation for SIYP

Brie and her father Alan met with Tony Austen – Principal of Salesians – to hand over school materials for use at the school.
