Prior to the 2019 Rotary International Convention in Hamburg, Mediators Beyond Borders International (MBBI) was approached by a small group of visionaries from multiple districts in Zone 22, Southern Africa. Their goal was to build social cohesion throughout the region by training 100 community mediators to celebrate the Centennial of Rotary on the African continent. The gathering on 25 March was the graduation ceremony to celebrate the achievement of the participants of completing the course. It was the first time most of the participants, MBBI (Mediators Beyond Borders International) trainers and Rotarians met in person. Waterfront Rotary is proud that crew member Siham Boda has played a significant role in this Peace project.
