Mandela Day – Ladles of Love

Join us for a special Mandela Day celebration on 18 July, organized by Ladles of Love (LOL) in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Waterfront and V&A Waterfront. This day of service and community spirit will take place at two iconic locations: V&A Waterfront in Cape Town and Constitution Hill in Johannesburg.

Call for Mandela Day Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to man 5 of the activation 6 stations, in 4 hour-shifts on the day (4/5 volunteers + RCW Team leader per shift) in the V&A.  A Manager and sub-manager from Ladles Of Love will also be on the team. The task – to direct 100 people per hour into the different activity areas – eg Bookmaking/craft toys/Food preparation. Rotary Club of Waterfront has been approached to coordinate volunteers – both RCW and LOL are in in partnership with the V&A Waterfront. A roster will be circulated this week to crew. Refreshents/food will be provided the volunteers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community, meet new people, and be part of something truly meaningful. A roster will be circulated this week to organize the volunteer schedule.
