Rotary Friendship Exchange Argentina: Piet Postema Shares Cultural Immersion Experience

First Rotary Friendship Exchange: Stress-Free Travel with Argentine Rotarians

Crew were treated to a brilliant visual presentation that Piet, assisted by Anne, had put together on their exciting and memorable RFE trip to Argentina last year. The 30 slide deck shared provided a visual feast of their first RFE experience. This was their first trip travelling in a Rotary group where all the travel stress was eliminated. Their hosts had planned the trip meticulously to take care and entertain the team every step of the way, including safe collection to and from airports, transport, entertainment, home hosting, loads of fun for the duration of the trip and so much more.

Home Hosting and Cultural Exchange: Understanding Argentina’s Challenges

“One really got to know the people, staying in their homes, learning about the country’s challenges, many aligned to those in South Africa. For instance 20 years of economic challenges and a large poor population. The warmth and friendliness of the Rotarians and people we met, was astounding – incredibly hospitable people. A trip, with multiple memories of Asadas (braais) warm hearted friendly people, and of course, the Argentinians who love to Tango.”
