Celebrating 24 Years of Cape Town Jazz Festival
This year marks the 24th year of the Cape Town Jazz Festival. Saturday, 1 June, was a magic morning for our 91 Golden Oldies who attended the event at The Baxter, ably organised by Janice Halliwell, assisted by Vic Hamaty who took pics.
A Magical Morning for Our Golden Oldies
Golden Oldies from Woodstock Home (25), Khayelitsha Home (41), and Athlone (25) attended. Wynberg Boys’ Junior School concert band, South Peninsula High School Jazz Band, Musiquelsine SA Wind Band, and musicians from Steenberg High School participated, showcasing their incredible talent. Well done, Janice!
Some folk arrived a bit late, but all came in the end.

Many years ago, more than a decade, Cathy Stagg, who worked for Community Newspapers, approached Ann to include our Golden Oldies to attend this very special event.
