On Thursday, 17 August, Waterfront Rotary and the staff of the Christine Revell Children’s home welcomed a team of 14 women from the Sanlam Retail Affluent blanket drive to do a hand over of a donation of 17 beautifully handcrafted blankets and 9 purchased blankets to Celebrate August – Women’s month. After the handover and a tour of the facility, guests were treated to a sumptuous tea, kindly sponsored by Pick’nPay. From feedback received, our SRF visitors where seriously impacted by the plight of these children, from which a meaningful collaboration with the home and the RC of Waterfront could develop.

A big thank you to thank you to all Rotarians for their contributions toward the Christine Revell Children’s Home Christmas Pudding drive. Also a reminder of the open day at the CRCH on Saturday afternoon 26 August from 14:00 to 17:00 aimed at volunteers, Foster parents and those interested in adopting. An application for funding had been completed and submitted to Lotto funding.
