Pieter was in full swing at SIYP, where over 30 NCV (New Venture Creation) NQF level 2 and 4 students and Solar Energy learners were awarded community service certificates. These students played a vital role in the success of the Cape Town Marathon, joining forces with our Rotary crew to fulfil the community service component of their courses.
Gabriel Hamuy of SIYP mentioned that this experience has provided the SIYP learners with invaluable social exposure. Many had never had the opportunity to witness or participate in an event of such scale. They were gifted with a rare chance to engage with diverse people from various cultures, gaining a broader perspective on what the City of Cape Town has to offer both locally and globally. Experiences like these are transformative, opening their eyes to new possibilities and fostering a deeper connection to their community—opportunities that many of us may take for granted.
Big thanks, to David Bradley for creating the attractive templates for the certificates. As David says `Spanwerk Sonder Spanning’! (Teamwork without Stress)
