Dietrich shared that EDUNOVA is a non-profit company that has been working in the education sector in South Africa since 2004 (see Impact slide above). Our focus is on the effective use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in schools, primarily working with schools situated in the disadvantaged communities of South Africa. ITE Programme: Empowering Unemployed Youth with 21st Century Skills
The ITE Programme is Edunova’s flagship programme focuses on unemployed youth. It was initially established to provide youth with 21st Century Knowledge, Education and the Skills needed to understand the complex, theoretical and applied uses of information technology in various areas of life. Edunova promotes training and work placement initiatives in a bid to help address skills development, job creation and poverty alleviation; ultimately changing the Educational Sector through the use of technology in schools.
