At the finals of this year’s Rotary Inter-schools’ debating Competition held at Rondebosch Boys’ High School on Monday evening , the junior winners were Reddam Constantia who beat Herzlia, while in the senior section the honours went to Springfield Convent who had the better of Jan van Riebeeck
Maryka Vermaak and Derek Pead were part of the adjudication team, together with three members of the UCT Debating Union Johann Kok (chair), Adam Taylor and Joseph Zelezniak. Dirk Hofman acted as chair for the debate while Johann Gerber was Master of Ceremonies. Captain Mymoena handed over the prizes. (Johann Gerber).
