What a magnanimous gesture on behalf of N1 Restaurant supplies. So many heartwarming pics from clubs were received – see pics below.

Addressing Winter Hardship in Cape Town’s Informal Settlements
As Cape Town faces another bitter winter, young children in informal settlements are among the hardest hit — battling cold, hunger, and unsafe conditions. A warm bowl of food becomes more than a meal; it’s a source of comfort, strength, and hope. While food addresses the symptom, we know the deeper issue is poverty — and how society has come to accept it as part of everyday life.
“Whatever Rotary may mean to us, to the world it will be known by the results it achieves.”
As we approach Mandela Day, let us remember: Mandela Day should be every day — a daily call to action to serve, uplift, and build a future where no child or woman goes hungry.
Heartfelt Thanks from Rotary Club of Swellendam
Letter of thanks from the RC of Swellendam:
Hi Martin…a sincere “thank you” to you – and the Waterfront Rotary Club – for your generous gifting forward of the instant soups, and for sharing with other Rotary Clubs in the district. It has been a game changer here in Swellendam! After receiving an urgent request to support soup kitchen coordinaters in Railton ( specifically over the current school holiday) we were able to deliver 4000 individual soup packets yesterday to a central coordinater who will, in turn, distribute these packets to 4 soup kitchen coordinaters, in a manner that will stretch over this holiday period. We are able to provide a hot meal for individuals – and indeed families, in many cases. We are extremely grateful! 🙏 Thank you again.
Best wishes, Bev Hancock, President – Rotary Club of Swellendam
