SALESIANS EDUCATION 4.0. BIG DATA TO BETTER SERVE THE UNDESERVED

The Rotary Club of Waterfront recently hosted a session on September 21, 2023, with the aim of fostering a data-driven culture at SIYP. This organization strives to provide education and skill training to men, women, and children from low-income backgrounds, enabling them to escape poverty and build a brighter future for themselves.

As we all know, data plays an essential role in adapting to evolving needs. To that end, the workshop focused on developing a data vision statement and providing recommendations for SIYP’s leadership to consider and implement. By harnessing relevant data, SIYP can respond to the growing demand for its services and better serve its 750+ beneficiaries, many of whom seek education to secure better employment opportunities or start their own businesses.

The primary message for Salesians is to stay committed to Don Bosco’s mission, as outlined in its Constitution and led by divine inspiration from its superiors.

The photos below show the leadership teams (Groups A and B) discussing how to create a consistent data-driven culture across SYIP.
