Wings for Life World Run | Waterfront Rotary in Action

On Sunday 4 May, members of the Waterfront Rotary proudly joined the global Wings for Life World Run – not just as spectators, but as part of the management team and marshalling crew, helping to ensure a smooth and successful event in Cape Town!

As thousands ran for those who can’t, we stood in solidarity, embodying our Rotary values of Service Above Self. It was an energising day filled with unity, compassion, and purpose, supporting spinal cord research and contributing to a cause that truly makes a difference worldwide.

Pieter Swart and Dirk Hoffman without hesitation, took on the two Sector Manager roles to manage logistics with crew and marshals from Salesians. Dirk on bike with James Liddell, Ilse Lotter, Tony Austen (at the back) and Arnold Puzicha.

A huge shout-out to our dedicated members who gave their time and energy to help manage logistics and guide runners safely along the course. Whether it was directing traffic, encouraging participants, or simply being a helpful presence, our RCW team showed up in full spirit.

Together, we’re not just building stronger communities — we’re moving the world forward, one step at a time.🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
